Do you have a bias towards cats and kittens? Love their “special” ways and their individuality?
My client is looking for a nurse with a feline bias to join them in their expanding practice in the Oxford area. This is a busy multi-vet practice but you’ll have plenty of time spent with cats in theatre, consults and wards – plenty of time for cuddles!
As well as first opinion work, the practice are proud to take feline referrals in medicine, orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery.
As a nurse you might have enjoyed a well-rounded experience in your career so far, but you might wish to consider specialising now. Scary thought? My client considers this and knows it might not be for everyone, so as a result, they’re offering the option of a 12 month contract rather than permanency so you can give it a try! During your time at the practice you’ll gain specialist knowledge and the support to develop that side. CPD is encouraged and funded well here.
The right candidate will have a great mix of clinical skills and personality and have a real love for cats and kittens! Feline experience or qualifications are definitely an advantage, but a passion for patient and client care are of more importance.
Salary £30k+ DOE, 4 weeks’ annual leave (rising to 5 weeks after first year) plus bank holidays (no Bank holiday working), pension scheme, RCVS & VDS paid, lots of CPD in house and budget
1:5 weekend day times with TOIL the following week. No emergency OOHs. 1 weekday late check per week for stable inpatients only. Weekend checks shared with the duty vet.
