Superb opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse looking to progress into a Head Nurse role at this practice a short commute from Chelmsford or Colchester.  My client is a supportive practice and they’re looking for an enthusiastic nurse to oversee a small team.  As Head Nurse you’ll be always looking to improve clinical standards, ongoing CPD options for yourself and the team, you’ll set up protocols and standard operating procedures and always keep up to date with best practice considering new ideas and opportunities.

You might already have experience but if you don’t and you’re looking to take that next step in your career, this is the right practice for you!  This is a lovely and well established 4 vet practice and as well as the vets, you will be joining a fabulous team of 5 experienced, dedicated nurses and a strong support team of SVNs, VCA and receptionists.  The practice is well equipped for first opinion work with dental radiography, ultrasound, radiography, ventilator, multiparameter and much more.  The practice has 3 sites and although based mainly at one, there will be an occasional need for you to work at the other surgeries.

My client will consider someone looking for a part time role, however my client would prefer their new HVN to be in practice for 4 days/week minimum.  Typically, a full-time rota involves working 40 hours per week with shifts between 8am – 7pm on weekdays, and 8am – 1pm on 1 in 5 Saturdays.

Salary up to £35k FTE depending on experience, 6 weeks annual leave, Birthday off, RCVS & VDS paid, Excellent CPD allowance and many more benefits
