Small Animal Vet – South Devon ref 841

Are you a new graduate or have you graduated in the last 12 months and not getting the support you expected?  Are things getting too much?  Then read on, as I have this excellent opportunity with a supportive friendly practice in the South West

Live and work in a beautiful part of the South West by joining this lovely, established private practice (accommodation available). My client runs a 4 vet practice in the heart of South Devon near enough to the coast to enjoy water sports, but also a stone’s throw from the lovely moors for hiking, climbing and other outdoor pursuits.  On the practice door step there’s plenty to do with sports clubs, night life, theatres, and an array of places to eat.

The practice benefits from ultrasound, a new digital x-ray, new purpose-built separate cat ward, new dental suite, & designated oxygen therapy area.

My client is looking for an enthusiastic vet to join their existing team where cases are discussed and vets are well supported. You’ll need to be a good communicator & enjoy working as part of a team.  My client has much experience in bringing on new graduates and will provide the support at a level tailored to you.  If you’ve already got some experience, that’s a bonus and something to build upon.

The successful candidate will be a confident new graduate vet with a caring attitude towards both clients and patients. You will be keen to maintain the highest levels of clinical work and deliver excellent service to your clients in an environment where the patient comes before profit. Work for a lovely, understanding boss in a supportive team.

The practice do cover their own emergencies and this is shared with another local independent practice, so not onerous and the rota is one evening per weekday and 1:6 weekends with plenty of time off in lieu to enjoy the local area. Full support is given with a very experienced vet on second call if needed and only after a “bedding in period”.

Full time permanent role, salary commensurate with experience, accommodation available, CPD and annual leave entitlement, pension scheme and other in-house perks
